Machine World

I'd imagine the whole world was one big machine. Machines never come with any extra parts. They always come with the exact amount they need. So I figured if the entire world was one big machine, I couldn't be an extra part. I had to be here for some reason. And that means you have to be here for some reason too. -- HUGO

This actually reminds me of a poem I wrote the other day:
What would you say
in a bottomless night
 a bottomless spirit
you call
there is no answer
you run run run
and never look back
things fall apart
you hold it together
your hands
are heavy
you don't want to be
the last person on earth
left behind
